1. Who we are
BuildCo AI Ltd ("BuildCo AI", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17235740, with its registered office at 18 St Cross Street, London EC1N 8UN. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website, the Indigo platform, and our project and commercial delivery services, unless stated otherwise in a client engagement.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in a small number of ways:
- Contact details you give us directly, such as your name, email address and company, when you get in touch through this site or by email.
- Correspondence you send us, including enquiries about Indigo or a delivery programme.
- Website usage data, such as pages viewed and general device information, collected in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
- Client and programme data shared with us in the course of a project delivery engagement, handled under the terms agreed for that engagement rather than this policy alone.
- Indigo account data, once Indigo launches, such as property, tenancy and compliance records entered by landlords, letting agents and their tenants, as set out in Indigo's own terms at launch.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, deliver and administer our services, operate and improve this website and Indigo, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and, where you have agreed to it, keep you updated on BuildCo AI's work. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we rely on: your consent, where you have given it; the steps necessary to perform a contract with you or your organisation; our legitimate interests in running and improving our services, balanced against your rights; and compliance with a legal obligation, where one applies.
5. Sharing your information
We share personal data only where necessary: with service providers who support our website, email and delivery operations under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms; with professional advisers such as our accountants or solicitors; and with regulators or authorities where we are required to by law. We do not share client or programme data beyond what an engagement requires.
6. How Indigo handles data across jurisdictions
Indigo is launching first in the United Kingdom, with the United States, Europe, the United Arab Emirates (including Dubai), Canada, Nigeria and other countries on the launch pad for further expansion. Indigo is built on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis rather than a single cross-border model: data for UK users is processed and held in the UK under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and is not transferred out of the UK as Indigo expands. As Indigo launches in each new market, it is built to meet that market's own data protection and compliance regime, such as the EU's GDPR, applicable US federal and state privacy laws, the UAE's data protection law, Canada's PIPEDA, and Nigeria's Data Protection Act, with data for users in that jurisdiction handled under the rules that apply there.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected for, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, and ask for it in a portable format. To request your data or exercise any of these rights, contact us first at info@buildco-ai.co.uk; we handle every request in line with ICO policies and statutory timescales. You also have your statutory rights with respect to ICO policies (ico.org.uk).
9. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies or similar technologies strictly necessary for it to function. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent first.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, including Indigo, develop. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the update.
11. Contact us
